NO RETURNS OR EXCHANGES – NO EXCEPTIONS.

Textbooks/Course Materials

Books will be accepted for refund or exchange for the current semester until 3 weeks after start date (one week after tuition fee refunds deadlines). (Fall 3 weeks, Winter 2 weeks, and spring/summer 1 week)
Textbooks returned within this refund policy MUST be in new, unused and "mint" condition, without bent corners, cover scratches, obvious wear-and-tear, or markings of any kind (no names, notes, or highlighting). This refund policy also applies for all digital material. 

Please note that if a student drops a class, the bookstore is not given notice. Returns for dropped classes must be done within our refund policy. 

Shrink-wrapped materials or packages containing web codes, study guides, lab manuals, solutions manuals are NON-RETURNABLE if the shrink-wrapping is removed.

Due to the sensitive nature of copyright, Okanagan College printed course packs and manuals are non-returnable.

Ensure that the books you are purchasing are the required titles/editions.  If you are unsure, GO TO CLASS FIRST.

Students on Wait Lists for courses should not purchase textbooks until they are officially notified that they are off the wait list and on the class list.

The following items are not eligible for return or exchange:

  • Items labeled USED (except by special permission)
  • Workbooks, Study Guides, Solution Manuals
  • Paperback novels under $20.00 in value
  • Bargain books, books on sale, or price-reduced books
  • Lab and medical supplies (ie lab goggles,lab coats and open lab kits)

Refunds for purchases made by Visa, Mastercard or Debitcard will be made only as a credit to the customer’s respective account. No cash refunds. For online returns, shipping/handling charges will be the responsibility of the customer. Refunds for purchases by cheque will only be made after 10 working days (excludes Saturday and Sunday) of the purchase to ensure the cheque has cleared the customer’s bank. 

Clothing/General Merchandise

14 days from original date of purchase. Please ensure that all clothing tags are still on garments being returned. Original receipt will be needed for refund. 

The following items are not eligible for return or exchange:

  • Headphones
  • Calculators if packaging has been opened or tampered with in any way
  • Nursing Lab Kits
  • Discounted items are final sale and cannot be returned or exchanged
